Extensibility - 2007/09/22 20:03 I am really new to this MS product and it looks like it has some potential. However I wonder if it's ease of use might pose limitations on it too.
I wouldn't mind being able to use it but I don't know that the precanned routines can be extended too easily.
Lets say I chose the Parallax device (BOE board) but I don't need the robotics kit instead I want to control a kitchen appliance. I can't figure out how to add an interface for a new feature. What if I want to access a device via I2C how do I develop that. I might want to use that so I could use fewer pins on the Basic Stamp device and control more external devices with one controller.
Well these are some of the issues I see and yes I am examining the source code samples which has the platforms and the Stamp is one of the sample. Still I am having issues figuring out how this can work. Is there some option that lets you interface with the pbasic code that you would normally write to add such functionality.
Anyone got any clues or suggestions for me...
