Problem with MazeSimulatorRA [need help] - 2009/09/18 13:48 Hello.
First of all I want to apologize for my English.
I have a problem with MAZE Simulation
I will describe everything I did:
1) downloaded and installed Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio 2008 R2 Express
2) Download Maze Simulator Source Code Download (for Robotics Developer Studio 2008) = link = http://www.conscious-robots.com/en/robotics-studio/robotics-studio-services/maze-simulator- service.html

3) Run DssProjectMigration "d: my MAZE" from DSS Command Prompt
(described here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb483018.aspx)

4) moved the project MazeSimulatorRA to C: Documents and Settings NetSter Microsoft Robotics Dev Studio 2008 R2 Express samples Simulation

5) launched a project in Visual Studio and press F5

6) There are 5 errors in the draft (either in the screenshot)

Please describe how to install simulated sonar service and Simulated Pioneer Bumper and where you want to copy all the folders, if my Robotics Studio is installed in

C: Documents and Settings NetSter Microsoft Robotics Dev Studio 2008 R2 Express

It looks like the errors you're getting are caused because the MazeSimulatorRA service uses other services that need to be compiled first.

Everytime you compile a DSS service the associated dll files are created in the MRDS bin folder. In this case, as the SimulatedPioneerBumper service and the SimulatedSonar are not compiled, the associated dll files are missing, therefore the references in the MazeSimulator project are broken.

You will need to download these two services (Simulated Pioneer Bumper and Simulated Sonar) from this link:

Use DSSProjectMigration, compile them, and then the MazeSimulatorRA project should build without errors.

Anyhow, I was meaning to put together a new bundle for MRDS 2008 R2 with better and easier installation instructions.. But It´ll take me some time as I am extremely busy now...
