Neuroscience
small_bot_2.jpg

In this section you can find neuroscience related news. We try to focus on consciousness related issues and research results applicable to machine consciousness. Both human and other mammals related studies are included.

Undoubtly, the study of human brain and human cognitive processes are the inspiration for the research in machine consciousness. Neuroscience is necessarily a multidisciplinary field dedicated to the scientific study of the nervous system.

Modern neuroscience include contributions from biology, genetics, physiology, psychology, physics, computer science, etc. We are particularly interested in cognitive neuroscience, where the question of how cognitive functions are produced by neural circuitry is addressed.

  • Neural Correlates of Consciousness  ( 2 items )

Here you will find articles related to the Neural Correlates of Consciousness (NCC).

  • Human Brain  ( 12 items )

Under this category you can find Human Brain related topics. Latest advances in neuroscience are closely followed and research results can be used as feedback for our machine consciousness models.

  • Mammals Brain  ( 2 items )

In this category you can find information related to other higher mammals brains. Consciousness seems not to be exclusively produced in humans, therefore there is a lot of things we can learn from our closer evolutionary relatives.
