Using Eclipse plug-in for leJOS - 2006/12/15 05:04
There are several utilities for robotics application development using leJOS [1]. One insteresting tool is the Eclipse plug-in for leJOS. I am using LDT [2] a leJOS Plugin for Eclipse 3 by Jochen Hiller and Markus Heiden. I tried it with Eclipse 2.3 but it didn't work for some reason. However, I didn't want to expend much time fixing that, so I downgraded my Eclipse installation to 3.0.
Once the LDT plug-in is unzipped in the eclipse base directory, next time you lauch the IDE you'll have two additional project types: leJOS Client and leJOS RCX.
The RCX IR Tower connection can be configured in Eclipse IDE from Windows -> Preference -> leJOS menu. You can choose there your tower connection interface: usb or com. A leJOS -> Install Firmware menu appears as well in Eclipse (I didn't use it yet, as I have the leJOS firmware already loaded in the brick).
